Virginia Physostegy

Physostegia virginiana is a hardy native flower with lanceolate leaves topped with graceful lavender-colored inflorescences in late summer and early fall.

Physostegia spreads through its rhizomes and can form large colonies under the right conditions. Popular with pollinators, it also attracts hummingbirds.

Physostegia seeds must undergo cold stratification to ensure germination.
