Young, fertilized Quebec queen from our breeding facility. Queens are hybrids.Carnicaand Ligusticaand are selected for their hygienic behavior, their resistance to varroa and their development in spring. All our mother hives are evaluated for 1 year before selection.
Our queens are mated in Tewkesbury, far from conventional agriculture and other commercial beekeepers. This ensures that queens are mated by our males in a healthy environment.
Each queen is marked for easy identification and to indicate her year of birth (2025 = Blue).
Queens will be available the week of June 9th.
To reserve your queens:
Choose the week you'd like to receive your queen. She will be mailed Monday morning or available at the store the following Wednesday. Shipping for queens is $30.
Deadline for booking: Sunday evening before the chosen date.
Example: You have until midnight on Sunday, June 8th to reserve a queen for the week of June 9th. It will be mailed on June 9th, or available in stores starting Wednesday, June 11th.
