4-frame nuclei

DESCRIPTION

A nucleus is the starting unit of your new bee colony!

All our nuclei include:

• 3 built frames containing all stages of brood (eggs, larvae and capped brood)
• 1 frame of honey/pollen
• Young bees on all frames (the equivalent of 4 frames)
• 1 Quebec queen of the year marked (2025 = blue)
• 1 transport box

The nuclei are screened and treated for varroa in the spring. We also have our hives inspected annually by MAPAQ to ensure their health before selling them.

NOT SURE IF YOU'LL NEED A NUCLEI?

Are you hesitant to order a nuc because you don't know if your bees will survive the winter? No worries! You can cancel your reservation with a refund until March 31, 2025. This gives you time to see how your hives are doing. After this date, no refunds will be accepted.

DETAILS

The nuclei are prepared in the spring and are ready for pickup in June. You will be contacted in the spring to find out when your nuclei will be ready. All nuclei must be picked up by appointment at the store (1900A 18th Street, G1J2A1, Quebec).
